Lunaria annua ''Sissinghurst White''
This beauty's common name is Honesty and it is a fabulous biennial that is very easy to grow. It puts on good growth in its first season and then has pure white beautifully fragrant flowers from mid-Spring, followed by very pretty papery seed heads. THe first time it flowered for me a couple of years ago I was wondering where on earth the heavenly scent was coming from in my garden. It was this! Thrives in partial shade in soil that doesn't dry out too much in Summer. Also good in containers. 75x45cm approximately. Self-seeds politely and the seedlings flower in their first season which is wonderful.
