Salvia farinacea x Salvia longispicata ''Big Blue''
This is one of THE most stunning perennial, long-flowering, hardy Salvias I've come across recently. I trialed it in my nursery last year and it took my breath away. It has a very similar appearance to Salvia farinacea ''Victoria Blue'' but it's as though it's on steroids. Thick strong, tall stems are topped with rich blue flowers for months. Full sun to partial shade, well-drained soil. Cut back after flowering to encourage new growth from the base. 90cm x 60cm approximately.
