Geranium psilostemon

This is one of the most sought after hardy geraniums.  Very large, deeply toothed foliage forms a magnificent clump up to 1.2m in ideal conditions.  4cm bowl-shaped sizzling magenta flowers with black veins and a black eye put on a show right through from late spring to Autumn  Gorgeous when planted with silver foliage, lemon flowers or the cool blue of  G. pratense.  Very hard to find.  Sun to semi-shade and fertile soil.  Winter dormant.
