Digitalis purpurea ''Monstrosa Mix''

Out of stock

This is gorgeous, unique member of the foxglove world.  It is a biennial (flowering in its second season) and in its first season it forms a glorious strong mound of stunning large foliage that is a statement in itself.  This is followed by a tall stem of flowers in various shades of pink through to white. What sets this apart from other foxgloves is the large open flower at the top of the stem, making it a ''stop you in your tracks'' treasure.  If cut back at the end of flowering It will remain as a short-lived perennial, flowering for approximately two more years.   Full sun (as long as soil doesn't dry out in summer) or partial to full shade.  1.2m x 60cm approximately.
