5 SEEDS - This stunning Italian Bugloss is a must have in the perennial border.  It forms a substantial clump and produces intense gentian-blue flowers on 1-1.2 metre (or more) stems from late Spring.  It's biennial (taking two years to flower and if cut back immediately after flowering, it remains perennial.  Root cuttings can be taken from Autumn to early Winter and clumps can be divided in early Spring.  If you'd like it to self-seed, leave one or two heads to dry right out.  This treasure is beloved by bees and thrives in moist but well-drained soil (it particularly loves clay!) in sun or partial shade.  1.2m (when in flower) x 60cm approximately
