Anemone blanda ''Grecian Windflower''

I adore these woodland treasures and have just started naturalising them in an area of my garden under a tree (at last!).  Their beautiful lace-like foliage starts to emerge before the flowers and varies in colour from a plummy shade to dark green.  White, pink, mauve and blue flowers put on a delightful show from late winter through spring.  Happy in partial or full shade (the flower stems tend to stretch more in the latter) in fairly rich soil - they adore leafy humus.  10cm high and will form large clumps after a few years.  Mixed colours.
